The Pestana Vila Sol Spa & Golf Resort is one of the most stylish golf resorts in southern Europe, with a superb hotel & spa and 27 hole golf course. The resort spreads over 370 acres of pine forest, 3kms to the north of Vilamoura. The bedrooms are situated both in the main building and in ten clusters of rooms spread throughout the hotels extensive gardens. The golf clubhouse is situated next door to the hotel and the Spa is located at the entrance to the resort. The hotel offers a contrast between the modern main building rooms the rustic feel of the garden rooms and clubhouse. The Vila Sol course is one of the finest in the Algarve, indeed the original 18 holes has hosted the Portuguese Open on two occasions. Holes 19 -27 were added a few years later and are a little easier – much to the relief of many high handicap players! In truth all 27 holes are very good.

Pestana Vila Sol offers a choice of five different room types:
Garden Rooms: Located on the ground floor, distributed along ten clusters of rooms located in the hotel gardens, large and comfortable rooms with 1 double or 2 twin beds, decorated in a Portuguese style with terracotta floors, high wooden ceilings and hand painted furniture. Deluxe Rooms: Located on the 3rd and 4th floors of the hotel main building; large and comfortable rooms with 1 double or 2 twin beds, decorated in modern/classical style which gives a more sophisticated atmosphere to guest’s stay. Garden Suites: Located on the ground floor, distributed along ten clusters of rooms located in the hotel gardens; large and comfortable rooms with 1 double or 2 twin beds, decorated in a Portuguese style with terracotta floors, high wooden ceilings and hand painted furniture. Separate living room with an armoire with flat screen plasma TV, mini-bar, dining table and chairs, a sofa, armchair and a coffee table. Master Suites: Located on the ground floor along one of the clusters on the hotel gardens; includes king size beds, decorated in a Portuguese style with terracotta floors, high wooden ceilings and hand painted furniture. Separate large dining and living areas with fire place and walls covered with stone. Equipped with an armoire, flat screen plasma TV, mini-bar, dining table and chairs, a sofa, an armchair and coffee table. Presidential Suite: Located on the 4th floor of the hotel main building. The Presidential Suite includes a king size bedded room, decorated in a very sophisticated and modern style which gives a unique experience of comfort and elegance to the guests. Separate large dining and living areas, equipped with an armoire with flat screen plasma TV, Hi-Fi, DVD player, radio, alarm clock, mini-bar, dining table and chairs, sofas, armchairs and closet with tea & coffee facilities.
