AM Golf Holidays was founded by Adrian Murray in 2009. Adrian has worked in the travel industry for thirty years and in the golf sector for twenty six, he is also a member of Turnberry Golf Club. 

 Commenting on the launch of AM Golf Holidays in 2009 Adrian said…                       

“I decided to start AM Golf Holidays having spent almost 25 years working for many of the major golf tour operators in the UK. During my extensive travels I’ve been lucky enough to play some of the finest golf courses in the world and stay in a wide variety of hotels. I’ve developed strong relationships with many of the best suppliers in the business and I like to work with people I know and trust.

AM Golf Holidays is about offering our customers the best of what I’ve experienced, with a hands on approach to every enquiry and booking we take. I believe booking a golf holiday is about personal service. You won’t see us making any claims about being the biggest or cheapest golf tour operator, however we do promise our customers excellent service and a fair price for all the arrangements we make on their behalf.

We are able to be competitive as we don’t spend fortunes promoting ourselves on search engine advertising or ads in golf magazines. The majority of our bookings come from longstanding customers or word of mouth referrals”.

As always the service from AM golf holidays was first class with seamless organisation ,and speedy responses to all requests.

The guys all agreed that this was the best trip to date. The courses were all in top notch condition for the time of year, and even the weather was friendly this year with five superb days. 

The Dona Filipa hotel was excellent. The accommodation was very comfortable and the staff extremely helpful , friendly and courteous.

All in all a brilliant trip and I will be expectantly checking my email for the next super value offer.

We had a great time. Courses brilliant, we couldn’t pick a favourite over the end of tour lunch, personally I thought Oitavios just shades it. PAGS, very friendly and helpful but unfortunately we were still down at Quinta when they came to the hotel, they left a note and contact details but no problems at all. Car hire fine, again service very good and hotel in an ideal location and very good value.

Had a good chat with Oitavos manager, Frederico over lunch on Friday and he sends his regards.  

Dad and brothers thought it probably one of if not the best trip we have done so I am sure we will speak again. cc'd so they have your contact details to use and pass on.

Obviously service and advice from AM was excellent.

We had a fabulous holiday thank you. I will recommend AM Golf Holidays to as many people as I can. The upgrade you organised, and the magnificent views of the Ocean golf course and sea gave us much pleasure for our duration, providing a huge difference to our lovely time, had we been placed in the lower standard floor rooms at the Dona Filipa Hotel - we always looked forward to watching the early morning and evening golfers below from our roomy balcony,  as well as watching the fabulous sunsets we viewed before going down for pre dinner cocktails in the lovely courtyard to the San Lorenzo Bar.

The hotel was friendly and efficient' the staff very helpful. We appreciated your first class service. The golf was first class, what a beautiful golf course San Lorenzo is.

When walking into the arrivals hall, we were met by your representative, escorted to the car hire and we were on the road in 15 minutes, unheard of at Faro, excellent!

Thank you for my welcome home email what a nice touch but only to be expected from your very well run company. 12 golfers came back from the CS Rafael Suites Hotel very satisfied indeed. From the meet and greet at the airport to the very smooth and quick car hire  pick up it was the best we have ever had. We had three days of wonderful golf (Camporeal being the star course to all of our surprise!) the hotel was great (the only small issue we had was resolved quickly by your lady – she was mightily efficient) , the weather was good, all the transport turned up on time and even Easyjet managed to leave and depart on time.

All of my group said without doubt that this was the best planned and executed tour ever, we will be going again through you hopefully soon, also several of them have other tours to plan and that they attend, I am hopeful that you will get lots more business on the back of this job well done...

Hi Adrian,

Thanks very much, its great to be home after all that golf. I really can’t thank you enough for everything you have done setting up the break. The only thing that didn't go to plan was all the pars & birdies I had I mind you I couldn't believe the greens could be that fast & the Salgados course has too much water for my brothers liking, he lost eight balls in the hazards.

The hotel was fantastic, very tidy and the breakfasts had everything you could wish for apart from a nice sausage to go with the bacon and egg. The transfers to the courses were always on time as agreed, if you can pass on my regards to PAGS & & the driver in particular, who were first class with my nephew.

Everyone enjoyed the break also & complimented everything too. With all this in mind & we can get another deal/offer for next year I reckon I'll be back in touch early next year.

I hope you are well. Just a quick note of thanks for the trip to Le Penina that you organised for my son and I recently.

I must confess that I was a wee bit sceptical at £199 each for 4 nights 5 star accommodation including golf on the Championship course I shouldn't have been - what a fantastic time we had.

The hotel was superb and the course was tremendous We were even lucky with the weather - it stopped raining as we arrived and started again as we left.

The hotel staff were so helpful. The did everything to ensure our trip was a success. From transporting cases and clubs on arrival to (even) cleaning our golf shoes. My only criticism of the trip was the hotel prices - but it is 5 star!! Drinks were not too bad but food was very pricey Over 80 euros for a Le Penina logo shirt is expensive (and that was in the sale). To offset this we taxied into Alvor in the evening (7 Euros in a cab) There are lots of bars and restaurants to choose from.

I will definitely be going back to Le Penina with AM Golf holidays. Once again, Adrian, well done and thank you.

La Cala Hotel, Costa Del Sol, November '10

Hi Adrian,

Just wanted to let you know that Allan and I had a super break to La Cala. Your arrangements were all perfect and everything worked out just fine – we also got the room that we wanted and enjoyed some sunny afternoons on the balcony.

La Cala has definitely improved since we were there six years ago – with the addition of the Europa course and the Spa it was great.  The service and food at breakfast was excellent, although when we did try one of the special evening meals – the tapas evening – the food was a bit bland. However, with the hire car we were able to go to some of the many restaurants which is always fun.

Thanks again and we will certainly look for a quote from you for our next golfing break.
