Description

The Sheraton Algarve is one of the finest hotels in Portugal and is part of Sheraton’s Luxury Collection.

The resort extends across 72 acres on a cliff top location, overlooking the Falesia beach halfway between Vilamoura and Albufeira. The hotel’s design has been influenced by the regions Moorish heritage and has a real feeling of elegance, space and comfort. In addition to the hotel the resort also has the very enjoyable Pine Cliffs golf course (9 holes), and the Pine Cliffs Residence, a development of luxury self catering apartments.

There are a total of 14 restaurants and bars located on the resort (some open seasonally) providing a choice of Portuguese, Mediterranean, Moroccan and Italian cuisine. The open air Mirador Champagne Bar, which sits on the cliff top and is shaded by towering Pines, is a popular spot to enjoy a glass of Champagn whilst watching the sun set.
   
The hotel has an impressive leisure complex with large indoor pool and well equipped gym. The Falesia beach is one of the best in the Algarve and can be accessed via the hotels cliff side lift! If you are taking the children the hotel has two excellent kids club,
the ‘Porta Pirata’ for children aged six months to 8 years and the ‘Junior Club’ for children aged 8 – 12 years.

AM’s Opinion
This is our favourite hotel in the Algarve and there’s something very special about this resort. The Pine Cliffs course is a little gem, the resort has loads of facilities including an excellent beach and there are plenty of places to eat and drink on site.

Location

The Sheraton Algarve Hotel is situated 31 km to the west of Faro airport, a driving time of approximately 35 minutes.

The closest major towns are:
Albufeira = 6 km
Vilamoura 14 km
Loule = 21 km
Portimao = 42 km

Accommodation

The Sheraton Algarve offers a choice of four different room types. All the rooms were completely renovated in 2007 and have individual air conditioning, private safe, mini-bar and 24-hour room service.

Deluxe Rooms
These 34 square metre rooms come with balconies with land, garden or sea views. The room's spacious design includes a sitting area with a wooden table and two chairs. There’s a writing desk with direct-dial telephone and data port. A 27" flat screen television features “Video On Demand” and a variety of satellite channels.

Grand Deluxe
These 45 square metre rooms have a step-down sitting area separated from the bedroom by an elegant balustrade. The living area includes a sofa (convertible to a sleeper), table, chair and writing desk. The balconies have either garden or sea views. They have a 27" flat screen televisions, “Video On Demand”, satellite channels and a direct-dial telephone with data port.

Junior Suites
These 41 square metres Suites have a separate living room and bedroom. The balconies have either garden or sea views. The living area features a sofa (convertible to a sleeper) and a 27" flat screen television. There’s also a 27" flat screen television in the bedroom with “Video On Demand” and dozens of satellite channels.

Luxury Suites
These 55 square metres Suites provide accommodation on two floors and have balconies with either garden, mountain or sea views. On the first floor there’s a living and dining area with two sofas, a coffee table, 27" flat screen television with entertainment system featuring “Video On Demand” and satellite channels, and a dining table with four chairs. There’s also a first floor guest bathroom. Upstairs is the master bedroom and bathroom. The bedroom also has a 27" flat screen television, direct dial telephone and a data port.
